A bivariate chloropleth map is used to analyze two different factors visually, allowing the viewer to compare and contrast between the two variables. The above map shows the prostate cancer race comparison between the year 1970 to 1994. The viewer can see there is a higher rate of prostate cancer on the borders of the East coast.
