Isoline maps represents certain trends in an area. The lines on the map portray whether the trend is increasing or decreasing. This map shows the annual precipitation of Washington in 1996. The viewer can tell that there are high amounts of rain  near the coast of Washington. There was less than 20 inches of rain in 1996, in the middle of the state of Washington.
